Gstaad lies in the centre of the Saanenland and is the central starting point for six different snow sport areas with slopes ranging from easy to difficult. For example, the nearby Glacier 3000 is the only glacier skiing area in the Bernese Oberland with guaranteed snow from October to May. The extensive network of winter hiking paths is every bit as diverse as the choice of slopes. In summer, the cableways form the starting point for magnificent hikes and for adrenaline sports such as paragliding, crossbiking, riverrafting and many more.
